DiscoveryBound Outreach offers everything from fun and inspiring local activities to group events and trips across the country and around the world, where Christian Scientists and their friends of all faiths can connect and see Christian Science in action.
To ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, financial assistance is available for these programs.

Programs For All Interests
Chapter events are organized by local volunteers from your community and offer a variety of events for families, teens, 20s/30s, and adults or a combination. Chapter events are convenient for busy schedules, typically ranging from a few hours to a full day.
What to Expect
Inspiration and friendships are at the heart of all our local DiscoveryBound Outreach Chapter events. Activities have included:
- Family day at the beach
- Teen game night
- Adult dinners and discussions
- Ultimate Frisbee
- Hymn sing / Christmas caroling
- Service projects

Events and trips with DB Outreach range from local gatherings and weekend getaways to international excursions, each packed with fun and fresh with inspiration! The atmosphere is always inclusive and welcoming, and friends of all faiths are invited.
Outreach also provides staff support and financial assistance to those interested in organizing weekend events for 20s/30s adults. Come together with peers in a supportive Christian Science atmosphere to socialize, connect, and explore!
What to Expect
Outreach events and trips often begin with an inspirational discussion followed by the main activity or activities, and end with gratitude and reflection.

What to Expect
- Ignite offers adults ages 18–23 a three-month opportunity to spark their spiritual curiosity among peers.
- Adult affinity groups are a great way to ground shared interests in spiritual ideas. Regularly meet over Zoom as a group and look forward to an exciting in-person retreat! Details to come in fall 2025
- The Christian Science Educators Community, part of DB Outreach affinity groups, welcomes educators eager to share spiritual ideas, dive into resources, and find a supportive community virtually, including a retreat.

Connect + Build Community
DiscoveryBound supports people in their 20s/30s to make meaningful connections and build community through local, national, and international events in a supportive Christian Science atmosphere. There are opportunities to participate, organize, mentor, chaperone, and more!
Locally Grown
Grassroots activities organized by 20s/30s for 20s/30s include game nights, potlucks, hiking, ultimate Frisbee, volunteering, and more. They’re a perfect opportunity to hang out with others in an organic and authentic atmosphere. If you’d like to organize get-togethers in your area, DiscoveryBound will contribute up to $50 (with receipts) four times per year per area.

Weekends
Connect with others in their 20s and 30s during fun and inspiring weekends in a supportive Christian Science atmosphere that's free from judgement and is accepting of everyone.
DiscoveryBound Outreach offers a $700 stipend to 20s/30s who plan these weekends for groups of approximately 20 people. We provide support and advertising, and also subsidize the cost up to $1000. Contact the DB Young Adult Manager if you're interested in being a stipend organizer.
If you're interested in attending one of these weekends and need financial assistance to travel, complete and submit this form for 50% of airfares up to $150. Scroll down to the event calendar at the bottom of this page to see upcoming events.

International Adventures
Affordably explore the world with other 20s/30s in a supportive Christian Science atmosphere. Each trip includes a Christian Science practitioner and a DB trip leader. Want to learn more? Contact our DB Young Adult Manager.
