Sandy Haase
Hello! I’m Sandy Haase and I am truly happy and honored to be co-leader with my husband, Nate, for the 2030S NLC class! I’ve lived in Southern California all my life, and we’re blessed with two adult children, Sara and Colin, who both attended the A/U Ranches. At home, we share life with one cat – Girl Cat – who joined our family during the six years we fostered more than one hundred cats and kittens. I have served as camp practitioner at the A/U Ranches during Family Camp and Memorial Day Work Weekend.
My life loves include the practice of Christian Science, branch church and Sunday School activities (especially the high school/college classes), gardening (my schooling includes ornamental horticulture and design), and singing in our band (currently finishing a Christian Science album with Nate, Allison Abdelnour, and Mark Strickland). I’ve also loved sharing Christian Science in the Orange County jails since 1986. My sports life has included high school field hockey for two years and playing on our high school’s first women’s soccer team. Nate and I have enjoyed some international travel in recent years and completed our SCUBA certification a few years ago in Honduras. I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring these experiences and joys into our work with the NLC class of 2030S!
